Creature Guide

More will be added later!

Part 1: Friend or Foe?
There are many different species of creatures in both Eden and Haris, many of which originated from similar animals that lived when the world was whole and before the war. Some creatures like, Filona and Mahari are usually seen beside cats as a pet or a helper and a lot of the creatures that inhabit this world are fairly kind and easy to tame. Others like BoP and Hemodalius on the other hand aren't as kind and are usually avoided at all costs. Though there are many more dangerous creatures, some more dangerous then others, there are ways to avoid and sense the dangerous ones before they find you and how to avoid running into them:

-Avoid dark spaces especially caves, tunnels, underground passageways etc.
-NEVER travel alone and if you do always carry a weapon and always have a plan ready in case you run into something
-If spotted by a dangerous creature stay calm and don't make any sudden movements. They probably won't attack you if they don't feel threatened so don't give them a reason to
-Stay away from nests and dens. Mothers are always incredibly protective of their babies
-If spotted and the creature attacks, your best bet of survival is a Harpy's whistle (see move info in Part 3 on this item)
-Don't leave meat or any food out in the open where animals can scent it and when making dirt do it far away from your camp site/home
-If you hear a mysterious noise don't investigate

Remember: Most creatures won't attack you unless they have a reason to so be careful when wandering into unmarked territory, you could be walking into another animals home!

Part 2: Owning your own Pet
Please note the group with the specifics of what kind of pet you want and we can provide you with instructions on how to obtain rarer pets or to approve small pets. (Case by Case... the rarer it is, the less likely you are going to get it so be smart when thinking about owning a pet....)

Part 4: Creatures of Haris

BoP (Bird of Paradise)

Info
BoP are incredibly vicious birds that roam the skies of Haris. They are huge raven-like creatures that are a lot bigger then cats and have a beakful of dangerously sharp teeth that in some cases, can deliver a deadly blow. BoP live in high cliffs, which are hard to climb up and once a year they will make a nest where they can lay up to six eggs. They eat anything and are also known as the Cannibal Raven because they'll eat their own kind if they have to. There have even been reported sightings of a BoP eating their own young because they are born too weak. BoP catch their prey by swooping down out of the sky and snatching it up with their long and sharp talons. Then they take their prey back to their nest where they'll tare it into tiny pieces before eating it or feeding it to its young.

Characteristics
Males- Males are a lot bigger and nastier then the females. The males are the main hunters of the family while the females usually just build the nest. Males are always black and have long almost dragon-like tails. They can have up to eight eyes and even have odd pointed feathers that resemble pointed ears. The males always have two grey horns growing on their forehead and each will have special marking on their chest. Male eyes are usually dark red or black and sometimes they can also have an eye closer to the back of their head, though this is quite uncommon.

Females- Females are smaller then the males and aren't as vicious but still deadly. They are rarely seen unless they are gathering supplies for their nests or teaching their young to fly. The females can be black, dark grey or a dark brown. They have different feather patterns and are actually quite beautiful when they aren't tearing you limb from limb. The females also have dragon-like tails and special markings on their chest. They have a coloured jewel on their forehead which separates them from the males. The jewel is the only way to kill them, making them harder to kill then the males. You have to smash it in order to effectively kill the creature. Females eyes are usually a light red.

Height
Males- 5-6 feet
Females- 4-5 feet

Length
Males- 51/2-7 feet
Females- 4/12-6 feet

Uses
BoP aren't used that often because of how dangerous they are. You have to raise them at a very young age and they're hard to obtain unless you get them from a certain merchant. For some reason, the young that aren't raised by their parents don't get as big. The average size of a full grown BoP raised by a cat is 2-3 feet. The grown young are used to carry heavy supplies back to camp because sky travelling takes less time, though sometimes cats choose to trim their flight feathers so they aren't accidentally attacked by another cat who thinks they're a threat. The males horns are always cut off and shaped into weapons (eventually they'll grow back unless dead) and their hide is a good remedy for broken bones if mixed with special herbs.

Habitat
BoP are found on large cliffs or trees. They can only be found in Haris but some have ventured into Eden to catch prey and then they simply fly back. They come out night or day and are usually seen circling camps or graveyards. The only ones that actually live in Eden are the ones bought from a particular merchant as an egg and raised there.

Equinox

Info
Equinox are demon horse-like creatures. They live in dark wastelands or forests and also known as "The demon of the dead". They are quite dangerous and extremely wild. Very few can tame them but it is possible. They make their dens in caves and only come out at night or dusk never during the day because of their light sensitive eyes. Equinox always have glowing markings on their forehead or shoulder that match their eye color, each marking is different.

Characteristics
Males- Males are well muscled and come in black or dark grey colours. Their eyes are red, green or blue and also glow like their markings do. They have long fangs and usually can have a long twisted black horn on their head. Males have three hooves for each foot instead of females who have regular horse hooves. Males will either have the back legs of a horse, with the three hooves or they will  have the back legs of a lion or dragon-like legs.

Females- Females quicker and more vicious then the males. They are smaller then the males however and come in only dark or medium greys. Their eye color is purple, yellow or green and their glowing markings are usually found on their hip or shoulder, sometimes also found under the eyes. They have retractable fangs and have more pointed ears. They can have horns though it is rare and unlikely. Female Equinox have regular looking hooves instead of three hooves on one foot like the males.

Height
Males- 16-19 hands
Females- 14-17 hands

Length
Males- 6-8 hands
Females- 5-7 hands

Uses
Equinox are sometimes seen helping merchants though it's rare because of how hard they are to tame and their price. The horn of the male can be used as weapons or tools and the hooves can be made into a cream that helps with sore pads and bone aches.

Habitat
Equinox are always found in Haris and no where else. They prefer to spend the day in dark caves because of their light sensitive eyes. They usually live in caves, dark forests and sometimes abandoned buildings. They move in herds that can grow to large numbers and always travel together. If they discover they're missing a member they won't stop until they find out what happened to them, making it dangerous to catch one.

Part 5: Creatures of Eden and Haris

Weaver rat

Info
Weaver rats are large rat-like creatures. They live in small dens in rocks or ruins and come out during the night or day. It gets its name because its dens will usually be woven together with many different objects or even string. It is said that they used to be ordinary rats but then evolved to survive in the wasteland. They are very protective of their territory and their family and will protect their young with their lives. They are at their top danger level when it is the spring time.

Characteristics
Males- Males are bigger then the females but aren't as smart. They are usually a dirty brown or a dark grey color and have tough armour-like scales on their feel, underbelly, neck and a bit on their backs. During the spring they grow thicker hide and scales and a shorter coat and it's harder to kill them at this time. They also have long tusk like teeth and red eyes.

Females- Females are smaller then makes but are usually stronger and more intelligent then the them. The females have longer claws and teeth and are usually more intimidating as well. They only have the scales on underbelly and throat. They have lighter fur then the males and have red eyes.

Height
Males-1 ft.
Females-1/2 ft.

Length
Males-20 inches.
Females-15 inches

Uses
Weaver rats are most commonly used as prey and for their thick fur. Other uses however, have been found. Their bones can be scraped down into a powder and added to hot water to help with stomach ache. Their fangs and claws can also be used as weapons but must go through a certain process so they don't break. Their scales are usually used for armour but the most effective armour is made from the rats that were killed when the scales were thickest.

Habitat
Weaver rats are found on both Haris and Eden. They usually live in dark forests or wastelands and are rarely found in populated areas. They like the warmer weather but are able to live through harsh winters as well.

Stats

So to buy a pet you have to contact Zeph no? But What about those who live in Haris? ;A; And in the... like... FUTUREFUTURE I kind of want a BoP so would I have to snatch an egg or something?

And are "pet applications" going to be made so we cat keep track of the pets?
